Lado (maxi single)

Lado is a great CD single. Firstly, the song «Lado» was released in winter 2009 through the Internet – all who wished were able to download it from the site easily and free of charge. It was potential hit, well-known by means of radio and TV, completed by a small set of added tracks – varied musical pieces, the authorship of which didn’t belong to VOPLI VIDOPLIASSOVA. These songs were taped in different times and circumstances but because of individuality and self-sufficiency were never planned (and are not still) to be included into numbered albums. Their existence at this disc is an exclusive band’s gift to the most loyal fans of VV.

LADО
A truly romantic love-story. It is a lyric song which opens the newest page in creative life of the band. Being the first thing of a future full-footed album, it symbolizes new level of relations between a renewed VV staff and music itself, between words and studio sounds.

LETY, МOYA МYLA SESTRO
It is the author’s interpretation of a classic rock ballad «Sail Away Sweet Sister» of British band QUEEN, which was recorded to order of the company «Universal». English-speaking version is a lyric dedication to non-existent sister. Thanks to new explication this song acquires peculiar content – musicians of VV appeal to all Ukrainian girls, who leave their homes, searching for better life. A new version was personally approved by QUEEN’s musicians and it was guitarist Brian May who allowed altering of the song.

МАRSH SICHOVYH STRILTZIV
A striletska song, which was written at the beginning of past century by a famous Ukrainian composer and bandmaster Myhaylo Gayvoronskyi. It was renewed, orchestrated and recorded during the process of creation the album «Ukrainian Geroyichna Pisnya».

ALAIN DELON
It is a French-speaking outsung version of a popular song of NAUTILUS PAMPILIUS.
The initiative of creating belonged to Vyacheslav Butusov, who personally offered Oleg Skrypka to make their version of the song for the tribute-album named «Nau Bum». It was recorded at ESTHETIC EDUCATION’s studio in Kyiv with voluntary assistance of the band’s staff and with a strong feeling of full freedom for experiment - musicians were exchanging their musical instruments and doing new things with desire – for instance, a keyboardist Dmytro Shurov suddenly became percussionist, a guitar player Yevhen Rogachevsyi played on psaltery and acoustic bass, – till gloomy post-Soviet march of Ural dinosaurs turned into incredibly light and sunny franco-caribbean chanson with elements of Galician jig and Zakarpatian funk.

GOLUBKA
It is a Ukrainian folk-song. It was recorded original during the festival «Kraina Mriy» on June 9, 2005 and became the ethnic incarnation of VOPLI with the help of folk section – in particular of wind instruments and cymbals. It’s worse mentioning, that it was one of the latest recordings of Oleksandr Pipa as a member of VV.
